  • Quick update

I haven’t posted anything lately, not because I don’t have any time, but there just isn’t a whole lot to post right now. Corinne turned two months yesterday, so we’ll have to get her monthly pose next to her bunny soon, so those pictures will be up soon. Last weekend was her first professional sporting event, the season opener for the Columbus Crew. It was also her first concert, since Everclear (a favorite band of mine, no less) played at halftime of the Crew game. They only played 2 songs, but it was cool nonetheless. It was freezing at the game, but I know Corinne wasn’t cold. She was in a long-sleeve onesie, pants and a long sleeve shirt, her fleece pajamas, and was snuggled up next to her mom underneath her dad’s big pull-over winter coat. She also had on two hats. That was a sight to see. Unfortunately I didn’t get in on film. Oh well, we’ll have other opportunities.

  • Spanish Buckeyes

I learned the spanish word for Buckeye today in church but I forgot what it was already. Unfortunately, Google’s language tools couldn’t help me out, either. But here’s the translation of the recap of the Buckeyes win, so you can practice your Spanish!

Our local ABC station re-broadcast the Fiesta Bowl this afternoon. It was certainly more enjoyable watching it the second time around. For one I didn’t have to worry about 4th and 14 during the first overtime again. Knowing what would happen allowed me to bask in the Buckeye victory-love. It was a great thing.

One thing that was still unnerving about watching the game was listening to the commentators. I love Kieth Jackson and will never blaspheme his name, but Dan Fouts, my goodness. How this guy ever got the chance to be the commentator on this game is beyond me. I’d rather listen to Musberger or Danielson, and that’s saying a lot. It was not a great thing.

I think everyone needs one of these:

    I know I do.

  • Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Woohoo. Here’s looking towards a great and wonderful 2003. I’ve got a lot of things to update but it’s getting late so I don’t have a whole heck of a lot of time to do it. Biggest update currently is that we finally have our baby registry started. We are registered at Baby’s R Us but the registry is also available online here (dead link). We haven’t registered for much just yet, but Greta is planning on going back with her friend to register for everything else. It will be updated online, also.

  • Calvin and Hobbes

I have always loved the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip and one of my favorite on going themes was the different snow men Calvin would make. This one is one of my favorites:

This site has a whole bunch more Calvin and Hobbes goodness.
