The weather here has been crazy. Sunday it was 20 and snowing. Yesterday it was 10 and _freezing_. Now it supposed to get into the 40s today. I wish it would either still be winter or start being spring. None of this wishy-washy stuff.

I haven’t found too many new cool things online, but if you were wondering how much Mountain Dew would kill you, here is a place to find out (dead link). I need 340+ cans to die. That’s a lot. Okay mister smarty-pants, how smart are you really? Take the Densa quiz (dead link) and find out. Get it? Densa, Mensa…Right.

The Cleveland Browns are in the mix for trying to get Ricky Williams and Cris Carter. That would be sweet to get either of them. I remember during the draft I said the Browns would be dumb to pick Tim Couch over Williams. Now I’m glad they did, and it would be great if they got Williams to boot.

  • Another day

Winter quarter is almost over already. That is crazy. Right now I’m working on a couple papers for my two classes, EE735 and EE831. Both will be about tunnel diodes. Surprised? I think they will be a good way to get going on my thesis writing, though, so that is a good thing. I’m also starting on the layout of some masks that we will be using to make some Tunneling SRAM. That is cool. More on that as I get more done.

I finally posted my resume on monster.com. After over a year of being told not to use monster.com by the Engineering Career Services, I took the dive anyway. Within two days i already had two contacts about possible openings. So far niether have panned out, but that is better than none. The job market is slow right now, so I’m up for anything that comes along.

I finally got a picture of my new Jeep online. Check it out. (dead link)

  • School is here

It’s been a while since I last posted anything, but I’m still here. Not much exciting to really talk about anyway. I don’t like the color scheme I’ve currently got, so I’m trying to change that, too. Any suggestions? School started and already sucks. Went and saw Zoolander (dead link) this weekend. Two of my favorite actors (Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson) were in it, and while there were a lot of funny parts, the movie itself lacked substance. I’d recommend waiting for this one to hit the cheap theaters.

I guess one exciting thing this week is that Greta and I have started investing online. We opened an account at sharebuilder.com. It’s different from other online brokers in a lot of ways. Check it out if you’re interested in dollar-based investing.

  • Hello out there

Things haven’t been updated here in a while. I’m getting lazy, not too mention busy. Lots of things have happened since I last wrote anything. Christmas has come and gone rather quickly. It’s been nice, though. Greta and I made out well this Christmas. We got a new 27 inch Sony flat screen TV (dead link) from Santa Rice, a JVC digital camcorder from Santa Betts, and a JVC DVD player that we bought for ourselves. Not too shabby.

Along with that, we purchased a new car for me (a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, pictures to come). we decided not to trade in my Chevy S-10, we’re gonna sell it ourselves. If your interested (or know someone who’s looking for a nice little pick-up truck) take a look here for all the details. I’ve been having a discussion with this guy from the cmh.forsale newsgroup about my asking price. He’s been haggling me over the Kelly Blue Book value. I think everything on my little page there is self explanatory, but he thinks I’m wrong. Whatever.

School is going pretty good, I finally feel like i’m making progress on my Masters Thesis project. Classes are going good, too, so that is always promising. I even get to take a class with my esteemed advisor, Dr. Paul Berger. This is my first 800-level class. One down, one to go!

I’ve found some new fun stuff online. At Launch you can make your own radio station. By rating music, you can filter out the crap and listen to what you like. Sometimes things get kinda warbled with heavy traffic, but for the most part it isn’t a problem. Techbargains.com and Slickdeals.net are two great sites for locating computer hardware/software sales. At half.com I got a 150$ textbook for 80$. Not bad, eh? And for your entertainment pleasure, check this site out. The third one and the last one are my faves. The gun game is fun, too. Sweet stuff!

  • Bellisari who?

Ahh, the sweet glory. Fourteen years in the making, the Buckeyes have made everyone proud once again to be a Buckeye. Hail to the… opps, wrong school.
