A Babysitter’s How-to Guide

I know it’s been around since I’ve blogged anything, for which I apologize. I promise to be more attentive to the site this year. Even though Greta has taken over most of the picture posting duties, I still plan on posting some fun stuff. So I’m starting with this one:

Ethan’s Five Month Pictures

I am copying my post from gisforgreta.com. Sorry. My creative juices just aren’t flowing enough to write a second description.

Ethan is growing like a weed. He actually slept from about 10 until close to 8 o’clock this morning. Yipee! He is also working on sitting up. He slowly bends in half and falls over. No signs of crawling yet, but he rolls around and scoots some. He’s never in the same spot when you come back to where you left him. The smiles are huge and plentiful. The kids are really good at getting him to giggle. Here’s some pictures:

I think Ethan looks alot like Lance did as a kid in the last picture.

If you live close, you had better come and visit before he’s all grown up!

Happy Holidays!

I was pretty depressed yesterday thinking that we weren’t going to see any family this year for Christmas Eve or Christmas. By the time dinner rolled around (egg rolls which may be a permanent tradition…yum!), I was getting into the holiday spirit. We built a fire and sang Christmas carols with the lights out. The kids got on their Christmas jammies just in time for cocoa and some of Santa’s cookies. We also had a family from church stop by to carol us! The kids LOVED that. Christmas morning didn’t come too early (which was my biggest fear) and was enjoyed by all. Mason declared that he “needs more presents!” while Corinne asked if there was anything else to “rip.” Ethan has enjoyed the distraction that the presents have brought. He isn’t getting picked on much today. Here’s a summary by photographs:

The turkey is going into the oven soon. Can’t wait to smell it cooking! All the best to you and yours!

Church duds

Abueltia came to town and brought Corinne a new dress. She loves it! She wore it once and is saving it now for the Sunday before Christmas when they sing in church. Mason picked out the sweater from Grandma Ann because it meant he would wear his alligator shirt underneath. He rebelled before we actually got out the door, though, and ended up changing his shirt. Glad I got a picture while i could. Poor Ethan was left out…again.

Ready for church!

Tony update

For those of you who are devoted fans of this website and want to keep up on Tony, he is doing much better after his surgery. His hand is very swollen but seems to be getting better since it doesn’t fit into his splint the same anymore. He has another appointment on Monday to have it re-evaluated.

Thanksgiving was spent with both sides of the family. The kids love seeing cousins and all the extra attention. We are planning on staying home for Christmas so it was nice to check in with everyone. We are inviting any- and everyone to Columbus, though!

Check gisforgreta.com in the next few days for updated Ethan pictures. He turned four months old today!
