Changes are afoot

As you may (or may not) know, I’m currently involved on a project at work that requires a lot of travel, most of which come during two-week stints. I’m currently in the middle of the first one, which means I have a weekend where I have just about nothing to do.
With all this free time, I figured I could spend some time working on the site. While Greta has taken over most of the family blogging, I have a few projects I’d like to work on. Those would include finally organizing our Flickr photos (I stopped working on that a while ago), a page of the kids pictures with their stuffed animals, and a few other post ideas.
Now I have to motivate myself to turn off the 4th episode (in a row!) of Law and Order and get to it.
Merry Christmas

Greta posted an electronic Christmas card to everyone here.
Ghost Towns

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of ghost towns. I know there are dozens of them in the “Old West” but I’m more intrigued by the more modern ones. You can read about 24 of them at this site.
They are all intriguing. I really want to travel to Pennsylvania to check this one out, but the one I found most interesting was this one, the “Deserted Walled City of Kowloon, Hong Kong“.
(I’m hoping to update the site a little more frequently with links like these.)
Are you saved?

Kicks are for trids!
I know my cereal. I love cereal. I could probably live on it. I once bought three boxes of expired Honey Nut Cheerios when I was in Spain because it was 1/2 off. So yeah, I know and love my cereal. How well do you know yours? Find out by taking the Breakfast Cereal Quiz.
I scored 18/20. And I still dispute one of the questions being a trick question.
As for my favorite cereal, that would be the delicious Chocos. I crave them every morning.
