I know Microsoft’s Terra Server has been around for a long time, I’ve just never used it. Now that I’ve fooled around with it, I’ve found a picture of our condo development, a picture of the buildings the EE department is in, my parent’s home, and my wife’s parent’s home. Disregard the red push-pin markers. I couldn’t get them to reposition, so the only one that is right is the one of the University. The majority of the pictures here are from 1994. The picture of Ohio State has two buildings that were torn down since I’ve been there and a whole set of buildings are missing that have since been built. That’s pretty cool stuff.

  • BBS Mates

When I was in high school, I was way big into the BBS scene. I was a member of a handful of boards, got to know some pretty cool people, but then I graduated, moved on, and never thought much about those people. Fast forward eight years and I found this board, thanks to slashdot. I’ve already registered but I’ve only found one so far. Hopefully more will be added, It’d be cool to see what’s up with other people. I’ve only found one guy I used to chat a lot with on irc. We thought we were so bad with our #216 chat channel. Ahh, those were the days.

  • Ha-ha

HAHAHAH (dead link). Now that is funny.

  • There’s gold in there

I am going to admit an addiction. I am addicting to the Amazon.com gold box. At first it was a fleeting fancy, a whimsical little gimmick. Now a day doesn’t go by that I don’t check my gold box. At first it was only five items. Now there are 15 deliciously tempting deals. Up until today I had not taken advantage of the super deals to be found there. Today I broke that streak. I bought a Microsoft Intellimouse (optical). I already have an optical mouse but the right button is on the fritz. I’m sure my wife’ll be torqued, but I live on the edge!

  • Hotter than a…

I could say that I’ve been sooo busy that I have neglected adding anything here. I guess that would be partially true. School is now in summer quarter, so I’m just working my little hiney off, trying to get things finished.

I haven’t encountered much fun stuff lately online. I’m enjoying the site Epinions.com, where you can rewrite reviews (they call them reviews and opinions) on just about any topic – movies, cars, computer hardware, vacation spots, and get paid for it. It’s not lucrative but addicting. I’ve written 4 reviews so far. Go here to read my reviews. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but I’m not very good at it yet, so I’ve got to keep practicing. It is nice to see when people rate your review as being “Very Helpful”. That’s always cool.
